Welcome to Senegal High!

Senegal High is located in a remote village called Lagnar, in the region of Diourbel, four hour-drive away from the capital of Dakar. This is an agricultural area, and most people survive on the land, cultivating vegetables and peanuts, while raising poultries and cattles. The school consists of seven brick-layered structures build by French catholic services. Please click on this link for more info: http://www.tripod.lycos.com/service/manage/preferences

There is one computer for the whole school, which I bought during one of my trips to New York. Consequently, students line up for hours to wait for their turns to face the computer screen, which they have named "the machine."

Even in this "primitive" environment, technology is making its conquests, slowly but surely.
